Elena is a licensed Cyprus advocate and a Solicitor of the Supreme Courts of England & Wales. She is qualified to practice both Cyprus and English law.

Elena trained and practised as a solicitor in London firms Schillings and Finers Stephens Innocent (now Howard Kennedy) where she worked on many high profile media cases and also undertook a secondment at Tiger Aspect Productions.

She has been practising Cyprus law since 2007 and was a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial department of one of the most highly regarded Cyprus law firms, Dr K Chrysostomides & Co LLC, prior to establishing E. Ioannides & Associates LLC.

Elena has a wealth of experience and very wide practice, including Banking and Finance, Corporate and M&A, General Commercial, Data Protection, Intellectual Property as well as Media and Entertainment law.

 

Publications

Elena has was quoted in the Times (London) and other British newspapers in January 2020. She co-authored “Format Rights and UK Law – the Emperor’s New Clothes”, published in the International Bar Association Media Law Newsletter, in September 2007. Elena also co-authored the Cyprus chapter of The Law Reviews: The Energy Regulation & Markets Review – 6th Edition (published 2017). In addition, she has written Cyprus chapters for various international directories and business guides over the years.
